Shannon Frelin Coers
Shannon is very excited to be working with REACH Volleyball Club as a coach for the 2020 / 2021 season.
She grew up in Puyallup, WA where she played at Aylen Junior High and Puyallup High School. She fell in love with the sport once introduced to club volleyball and played through high school. Shannon spent her senior year season on the bench due to a knee injury, but quickly recovered to get the chance to play co-ed competitively in college.
She found a love for coaching in 2001. She has coached middle school, high school and college volleyball (most recently at Tacoma Community College) in the Puyallup and Tacoma area, and has coached club volleyball for 10+ years. Shannon’s teams have finished in the top 5 in Regionals five years consecutively. In 2011, her team took 2nd in Regionals and accepted a bid to Nationals in Reno, NV.
Shannon has experience coaching every position, building team chemistry, and tapping into a player’s passion for the game.
