I started playing volleyball in elementary school. I graduated from Graham Kapowsin High School while playing volleyball (2011-2014). I started playing club at 10 years old and played my U18 year at REACH. I now play for Lower Columbia College and I was awarded with Honorable Mention my freshman year as a setter. I am primarily a setter and my secondary position is right side hitter, but I have also played libero.
Last year I coached U14 for Aces Volleyball Club in Cowlitz and REACH Volleyball Club. I really enjoyed coaching and developing the girls skills while having fun.
I believe in fun and fundamentals when coaching. Volleyball basics are important to learn at a young age because they carry you through the different calibers of volleyball. I find myself still going back to fundamentals everyday.
I want young girls to be challenged on and off the court. My goal is to have my team not only excel as a player, but as a person. I have learned so many lessons from volleyball that have helped me in the real world, and would like to teach girls lessons that they can take through their volleyball career and their life.
